Janet has won numerous awards in her career, but for her, nothing beats the one on one instruction she provides. Janet has been a member of the LPGA for more than two decades, serving as an officer and leading several executive committees as well. She's taught and worked at many of the top 100 courses in the country, including the Inverness Club in Toledo.
Besides teaching and club fitting, she also competes in several professional tournaments, and travels the country putting on clinics and demonstrations.
Janet is highly visible in the community. She served as a co-host with her late husband Joe on a golf show, and specializes in introducing women and juniors to the game. She's also served on the board of the American Cancer Society and works with Diabetes Youth Services, Connecting Point, the Aurora House and other worthy organizations, planning tournaments and events centered on the game of golf. She's been instrumental in helping to organize the Rally for the Cure tournament, which annually raises several thousand dollars for the fight against breast cancer.
Janet is a Toledo native, graduating from Notre Dame Academy in the Glass City. She also has a bachelor's degree in sports management from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania.
Janet started the Joe Rychnovsky scholarship fund in 2017 to give back to high schools students in the local community. The Annual Joe Rychnovsky Memorial Golf Tournament is held each year benefiting the scholarship fund.
